All lists together contain 2,951 persons

The book is written by Walloons (French speakers). You will therefore find few or no Flemish (Dutch speakers) in the name lists. Moreover, most Flemings left later.

Initially, land in the province near Green Bay was cheap and with an agricultural climate not much different from that of Belgium. (Patrick Mommaerts Dane County)
